CAROLINE JUDE MACALESHER
She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of London and a TEFL diploma, has 12 years of teaching experience and has been an English teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2023.
OUR ACADEMY
Unilang Idiomas was founded in 1978 and is one of the language centres with the greatest experience and prestige in Cantabria. Since then, our main goal has focused on teaching quality, with personal attention to the needs of our students. To achieve this, we have spared no effort, relying on highly qualified professionals and equipping our centre with the most advanced technical resources.
The centre is located in the very heart of Santander, in the historic and commercial centre of the city, a 3-minute walk from the town hall and a 2-minute walk from the cathedral.
The centre has the following spaces:
- Reception office.
- Teachers’ room.
- Study room and library.
- Six classrooms.
- Two bathrooms.
- 2 storage spaces.
All classrooms are equipped with furniture suitable for their use. Each classroom has tables and chairs, a whiteboard, a monitor or projector and a laptop connected to them, as well as posters and other teaching resources. The entire centre is a “wifi” area, available to the whole teaching and administrative staff as well as students.
CARLOS GONZÁLEZ MARTÍNEZ
With university studies in Teaching from the University of Cantabria and linked to Unilang Idiomas for family reasons since the beginning, his role is the management and coordination of all aspects related to the different courses aimed at both individuals and companies, guiding and advising in each case on the best possible option and tailoring the training to each student.
He is also first vice-president of the Spanish Federation of Language Teaching Centres (FECEI), part of the team that organises Cambridge exams in Cantabria and the Centre Coordinator for the SIELE exam.
ARANTZA GARCÍA ELIO
She holds a degree in Journalism from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and an official university master’s degree in Applied Linguistics for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Antonio de Nebrija University. Passionate about languages in general and British English and its culture in particular, her experience as a student at a language academy in England changed the course of this trained journalist, who from that moment decided to specialise as an ELE teacher in order to spread her own language.
With 14 years of teaching experience, she has been a senior teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2019, mainly teaching Spanish to foreigners.
OUR TEACHING STAFF
At Unilang Idiomas we have a team of highly qualified native or bilingual teachers with many years of experience in language teaching. They understand the different needs and interests of children, teenagers and adults and encourage their students to participate actively in the learning process and help them make the most of their potential.
AARON DILLON
He holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cork and a TEFL diploma, has 6 years of teaching experience and has been an English teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2025.
LAURA GARCÍA PÉREZ
She holds degrees in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication from the University of the Basque Country and the British Council Professional Practices for English Language qualification. She has been an English and Spanish-for-foreigners teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2012.
NIEVES ESTÉBANEZ GONZÁLEZ
With studies in Translation and Interpreting, several courses linked to language teaching and 40 years of teaching experience, she has been an English and Spanish-for-foreigners teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2021.
CRISTINA NÚÑEZ GUTIÉRREZ
She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the European University of the Atlantic, an official university master’s degree in Applied Linguistics for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the same university and a secondary school teacher training master’s degree from the University of Cantabria. She has been a Spanish-for-foreigners teacher at Unilang Idiomas since 2025.
